What can a boy do but care,
Though at first he was unaware,
From high above, higher than the skies,
Fell from the heavens, you...an angel...
Broken and injured, amongst mere men,
Your powers gone, your majesty stripped away,
Just vunerable and weak,
That boy, the mere man,
with a gentle strength he held you in his arms.
His eyes captured by your beauty,
His heart throbbing in your presence,
His stomach swelling with concern,
His mind turning with compassion.
How can something so perfect and beautiful have fallen so low?,
How can some one so regal and innocent be so hurt,
How can a heavenly creature be this broken
How could some one like you be this low to the ground?
Watching you he took in a deep breathe,
Your eyes opening, your wings unfolding.
He wanted to say something, he wanted to do.
You looked to him, and you simply knew.
With just one look, was all it took.
A brief moment, a common instant.
His impulsive love, like an instinct.
Your injuries though not openly present, still stabbed so deep.
Helping you to your feet, he offered his
everything.
Though a mortal, and you an Angel. It was
an unlikely, unnatural meeting of needs.
Your wings slowly mended and your majesty did return.
Soon Heaven opened from high above.
Great beams of light calling you home...as you ascended
his fingers and yours slowly unlocked.
Once you were gone, his mortal body twisted and turned,
His heart fell lower than your fall from above,
His chest collapsed into a cavern wide and deep,
He looked up one more time and smiled...
Though she left, she had healed.
Though he was alone, she was not.
Though she disappeared, he had seen her reappear from damaged
to perfection.
He had done all he could see her thrive, that alone made him
greatful to be alive
And so high in the Heavens as she flew amongst the stars,
Her wings were now strong again, she looked back down to her
mortal boy.
Such a modest simple soul though he was, for a brief moment
he had touched an Angel in you.
For that moment she had needed him.
But in the end, it was he that had needed her.
....Let your wings heal ;)
